Successfully Overcome Seasonal Allergies
If you wake up with constant sneezing or a stuffy nose feeling, you're not alone: about one in four people in Spain goes through the same. This happens because our immune system detects a “false positive” virus and mistakes pollen (in winter or spring), mold, pet dander… for an enemy, triggering an unnecessary alarm.
But don’t worry, let’s review 3 simple steps that will help you enjoy the whole year with the well-being you deserve.
1. Reduce exposure
The main and most basic step is to prevent the “enemy” from entering your home. First, we need to know what we’re allergic to — the best thing to do is visit a doctor. Once we know the trigger, we can make an action plan. This article focuses on pollen allergy (the most common seasonal one), but the tips will also work for others.
Pollen travels through the air, but you can keep it at bay with a few simple routine changes:
• Ventilate at the right times: Many of us love opening windows wide as soon as we wake up. However, pollen usually peaks between 5 and 10 a.m. — keep windows closed (at home and in the car) during those hours. If you need to air out, the best time is from midday onwards.
• Be careful not to bring pollen indoors: Pollen is sticky and clings to clothes and hair. A great habit is to shower and change clothes when you get home to remove any residue and avoid breathing it while you sleep.
• Nasal cleansing: Very effective and little practiced are saline nasal washes. This removes accumulated allergens from the nose and greatly relieves symptoms.
2. Strengthen your defenses from within
Our body is always working to protect us. When facing allergies, the goal isn’t just to “mask the symptom with pharmacy antihistamines, but to give the body tools so it doesn’t overreact. Since the body sees pollen or the allergen as a threat, it won’t “calm down” until it eliminates it.
This is where nutritional supplements become our allies, helping in two ways: reducing the reaction and facilitating elimination of the substance. At Exialoe we have several highly effective products:
• Aloe Vera Juice: Aloe vera is an essential ally. It has an antihistamine effect and acts as a powerful cleanser and diuretic, helping block and eliminate heavy metals and other substances the body considers harmful, including allergens. It also improves blood and cell oxygenation — vital when allergy makes normal breathing difficult.
• Munactive-10: Offers an antihistamine effect and, thanks to its high antioxidant power, neutralizes and blocks free radicals that worsen our condition and often cause allergic problems. It also promotes natural cortisone production.
• Cuminaloe: Cuminaloe capsules help especially due to their strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant power. By reducing tissue inflammation, they relieve nasal congestion, watery eyes and itching. They also promote natural cortisone production, decreasing reaction intensity.
• Inmuno Aloe-5: Its main function is to strengthen and activate the immune system. You may wonder: why boost the immune system if it’s the one “mistakenly” fighting the allergen? Because your body won’t rest until it eliminates what it sees as dangerous. Strengthening it helps it work more efficiently and fight respiratory allergic symptoms faster.
• ExiOmega 3 or Exi-DHA capsules: Act as a very powerful natural anti-inflammatory. Plus, since omegas form part of our mucous membranes, they help regenerate tissue damaged by constant sneezing and congestion.
3. Mind what you put on your plate

Did you know your diet can worsen or improve your symptoms? Some foods promote histamine release, “adding fuel to the fire” and increasing allergy symptoms.
• Best to avoid or reduce: During peak weeks, try cutting down on fermented products like aged cheeses, wine or beer, as well as cured meats, chocolate and certain vegetables like tomato or eggplant — it helps a lot.
• Best to eat more of: Foods rich in vitamin C (kiwi, orange, broccoli) and folic acid (lentils, chickpeas, asparagus) act as natural antiallergics.
We hope these 3 keys help you see that seasonal allergies can be managed naturally. It’s not just about enduring until pollen season passes, but giving your body the habits and nutrients it needs to stay well.
